Discover the difference tarte color cosmetics can make in your skin and appearance. Infused with nourishing ingredients, these makeup formulas are created with care, but Maureen Kelly doesn't stop there. Her gorgeous packaging, including runway-inspired cases and compacts, makes her products conversation pieces you'll want to display instead of stowing away in your beauty bag.

Established in 1999, Tarte Cosmetics offers smart, eco-friendly products that are fun and easy-to-use. Founded by beauty guru Maureen Kelly, each lipstick, foundation, blush and eyeshadow is made from the finest natural ingredients like Amazonian clay and plant extracts. Luxurious textures and vibrant colors make this award-winning line a stand-alone gem for the discerning makeup shopper.

A number of their products use animal derivatives, but if you want to opt out of anything with animal products, you can find a complete list of their Vegan-friendly products on their website.

I love all of the products from Tarte but especially the Maneater Mascara. I have allergies to most other eye products I have tried and I do not mind spending my money on makeup but Tarte leaves me smiling and able to keep wearing my eye makeup no matter what the cost is.

We independently selected these deals and products because we love them, and we think you might like them at these prices. Tarte Cosmetics is famous for its concealer. In fact, the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer sells once every 12 seconds. That's not the only great product from the brand though. The Lights Camera Action Mascara is an E! Shopping Editor Favorite. The Marajuca Juicy Lip Balm provides life-changing hydration, at least in my personal opinion. There are so many cult-favorite Tarte products.

If you want to restock on your favorites or try something new, there's an unbelievable deal that you need to shop right now. Pick your four favorite Tarte products to create your own customized $44 bundle. Considering that most of the full size products range in price from $20-$30, that's a potential $76 discount, depending on which items you pick, of course.

The brand started up back in 2000 with a dream of turning the beauty world on its head by producing luxe cosmetics that boast clean, cruelty-free labels. Today, Tarte Cosmetics have championed the market and dominated the cosmetics industry with their eco-chic, skin-loving beauty must-haves.

It was founded by Maureen Kelly in 1999; her first product was a cheek stain that was used the following year for the cover of Self magazine.[4] Also in 2000, Tarte Cosmetics debuted its first order at Henri Bendel. In 2003, Tarte products were being stocked by Sephora and in 2005 at QVC. By 2010, the company's products were being sold by Ulta Beauty.

Tarte Cosmetics was founded by Maureen Kelly.[6] She was pursuing a PhD in psychology at Columbia University when she decided to pursue her interest in cosmetics because she could not find effective makeup she liked; she wanted natural makeup that gave a glamorous look.[7] Kelly started the company with the support of her first husband.[6] Kelly began to research cosmetics and worked out of her apartment until her cheek stain was developed. The cheek stain caught the attention of beauty writers a week after launching in Henri Bendel. Kelly spent much of the first two years delivering sample products to the mail rooms of magazine publishers, hoping they would invite her back. As sales continued, Tarte launched in Sephora in 2003 and two years later on QVC.[1]

Tarte Cosmetics does not use parabens, mineral oil, synthetic fragrances or gluten in their products. Parabens are excluded because they are known to disrupt hormones.[11] Mineral oil is also not included because it clogs pores and can be contaminated with toxins.[12][unreliable source?] Synthetic fragrances are avoided due to the risk of allergic reactions. Gluten is not included because if it is accidentally consumed, it will cause a reaction.[13]

Tarte is a cruelty-free makeup brand. They do not test on animals or sell products where animal testing is legal. Tarte is certified by PETA. Tarte is not 100% vegan, but some of their individual products contain only vegan ingredients.[14]

Tarte has swept the makeup world by storm with its incredible, cruelty-free makeup products that are mostly all made with natural ingredients, but their eyelashes are still rising in popularity. It is clear that once customers discover that cosmetics leader Tarte does, indeed, produce false eyelashes, they will become hooked, just like we are. In this section we will walk you through the false eyelashes Tarte has to offer, along with some of their other lash related products that will leave your eyes fluttery and full of life.

I have sensitive skin and hence I need to make use of makeup products quite sensibly. When it is about the false eyelashes, I need to be very much careful about the adhesive of the eyelashes. The adhesive from the brand Tarte is very much soft on my skin and hence I am a regular user of the brand now.

This tarte cosmetics glow wand is like a highlighter meets concealer, but with the shape tape stamp of approval! It has diamond powder and porcelain flower in it to create a flawless, soft-focus finish with a hint of illumination.

To make that happen, the brand sent two of its best-selling products, the recently-launched Tartelette Tubing Mascara and the TikTok-favorite Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm, to 30,000 rushees at schools including the University of Alabama, Florida State University, University of Mississippi, University of Arkansas, University of Georgia, University of Texas, University of Tennessee and University of Auburn.

I, as well, will never purchase , not only any Tarte products, but any product whose parent company tests on animals. Shame on these conglomerates who are basically lying to their consumers. I am very offended by anyone who would still use any product knowing full well animals how animals are horribly suffering . I have seen the disgusting and heart breaking pictures of how animals are tested upon. I dare those who do not care if products are tested on animals to take a look at the photos of those poor suffering animals. Another sell out of what was a good brand now damaged by corporate greed.

The industry-standard definition of cruelty-free is simply no animal testing, and vegan is no animal ingredients. I personally use only vegan products from cruelty-free brands. I find it helpful to use the mostly widely known definition of cruelty-free though to minimize confusion.

Thank you for shedding light on this. I always always check with EWG Beauty Database. Always. There are some brands that started organic and natural but once they got big they immediately started putting a lot of chemicals/toxins in their products.

This is very disappointing. One of the reasons I looked into them is because I *thought* they had natural products for those with brown skin. It is so hard to find safe products for honey, caramel, cocoa skin etc. If I have any luck it is usually lighter colors. If you know any reputable safe brands in this regard please share

Just purchased Tarte products from Ulta. Will be returning tomorrow after reading your article. Thank you for your research. I am like your other readers. I am looking for all natural /organic products. So hard to decipher the BS!

This is a good read. As a vegan, I am constantly reading labels before I buy any food or skin products. But now, you have to be well informed about the manufacturing companies as well as the ingredients that go into their products. Its almost like you have to be a private investigator. All I can say is do your research and be careful ladies! Thanks Green Beauty Team!

I am so glad I came across this, it has opened my eyes to shopping for cruelty free products. Do you know any companies that make good quality tinted moisturizer that is 100 percent cruelty free ? Also is the company 100percentpure cruelty free?

I buy cruelty free and vegan products such as Inika, World organic, Living nature that do make tinted moisturisers (I also know of Juice beauty but have never tried their products). There are many out there. I live in New Zealand so I am not sure if the Inika, World organic or Living nature brands would be readily available in the shops for you (i.e where you live). However, I am sure that you can get them shipped(: Hope this helped you find more cruelty free, vegan and natural and organic brands! Good luck. 041b061a72
